MWorks air their views on ‘agency issues’ in Marketing Week magazine

MWorks were recently approached to write a column for the MCCA in their regular Marketing Week spot Agency Issues.

Our CSD Lucy Hamer-Hodges delivered her take on excellence in client servicing and how ‘integrity is key’. This was only mildly overshadowed by the fact that the crop of her photo made her look naked. The irony was not lost on us...

MWorks wins ISP Gold

We recently took home (well, to the office – like most agencies it sometimes feels like we live there!) a Gold award for Best Art Direction from the Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) Awards held here in London.

The work in question was a simple yet spot-on execution for Samsung’s Genio White handset in the O2 channel, which created great cut-through in a cluttered high street at Halloween.

You could say we’re so happy it scares us... But seriously, the team are all very proud of the campaign and a Gold ISP is an amazing result. Big pats on the back all round at MWorks HQ!

Samsung Monte & Iron Man 2

Whilst the volcanic ash cloud somewhat overshadowed the world premiere, nothing got in the way of the promotional tie-up between Samsung Monte and Iron Man 2, which MWorks recently brokered and managed.

The activity consisted of ATL, online, in-store, experiential, sales channel incentives and more.

O2 employees were treated to exclusive preview screenings of the movie, and bank holiday shoppers got to meet and greet Iron Man himself.

Who Killed Summer nominated for BAFTA

Our beloved online drama/social media project from 2009 Who Killed Summer? was nominated for a 2010 British Academy of Film and Television Arts award.

The Vodafone-sponsored campaign was nominated for Interactive Creative Contribution but sadly, despite WKS having been an exceptionally ground-breaking project, we were pipped to the post by BBC series Embarrassing Bodies.

Our clients are a satisfied lot

We recently conducted a client satisfaction survey to see how we we’re doing in the eyes of our clients. Not too shabby by all accounts, with all respondents agreeing we deliver creative ideas that push the boundaries and that they wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MWorks to a colleague. Not ones to rest on our laurels, there is still always room for improvement but it’s certainly put a little spring in our step to think we must be doing something right.
